Sections 1 and 2

"People said... Hitler won't be able to do us any harm, even if he wants to... What methods could he use?" (Wiesel 18).

Elie explains, the people of Sighet are very unaware to what was really going on. Others felt that Hitler wasn't going to hurt them, because nothing happened yet. If they wouldn't have ignored Moche the Beadle and payed more attention they would've realized the danger they actually were in. I think that the thought of being forced to leave petrified them so much they tried blocked it from their mind, to make themselves feel better.



"It was as though she were possessed by an evil spirit which spoke from the depths of her being" (Wiesel 34).

This quote to me really summarized Madame Schacter's actions in this section. She is constantly seeing some type of "fire". She wakes everybody, several times, to warn people about this fire. Elie says that people are getting so aggrivated that they tied her down and beat her until she is unconsious. Madame Schacter breaks free as others are asleep and begins again to scream, and this time there actually is a fire. This is all why Elie thinks she was possessed by an evil sporit. I don't blame her.

Snapshot of Eiffel Tower

     Last spring, I went to Europe. One of the places I went was the lively city of Paris, France. When I was in Paris I visited the gigantic structure called the Eiffel Tower. Under the tower was a giant crowd of people waiting to go up on the tower or just socializing with friends. The line to go up in the tower was as long as watching a movie. As we waited we all got snacks. You could smell the fresh food as it yelled at you to buy it. When it was time to go up into the huge tower the elevator made an annoying squeeking noise. I could have sworn the Eiffel Tower hated me. At the top of it you looked down and all you could see was people who looked like ants. We were so high up our teacher was clinching on to one of the poles for dear life.

     After it started getting dark the Eiffel Tower would light up. The lights will blink every couple of minutes. As the lights flash people try to sell things that go along with the Eiffel Tower. When people would sell cheap knock offs illeaglly cops would come and chase them. If the people get away from the cops, about five minutes later they are right back at selling the cheap knock offs. In all the Eiffel Tower is a very cool historical structure. Pictures tell you that it is a must see in person.

Perfect World

     My perfect world would be different to everyone else world because we have different opinions. To me though, my perfect world would be amazing. In my perfect world there would mostly be made up of everything I like. I like things like sports and movie theatres. I like both of these things because to me they are really fun. Most girls may not like my world though.
    
     First my world would have a lot of sports. There would be all kinds of sports. There would mostly be football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. The reason i like sports so much is because I grew up around sports and sports remind me of family. To me sports are fun to watch and fun to play. I play football and basketball most though. My world would all have to like the Redskins and hate the Steelers. I cannot stand the Steelers. That is the reasons my world would have football in it.

     My world you have basketball in it as well. I have played basketball my whole life. I'm ok at playing but I love watching it. My world would like any team they wanted except the Heat and the Lakers. Basketball and the others sports would not be as big as football though. Those art the main sports I would have in my world.

     Last I would have lots of movies in my world. There would be all types of movies. My favorite movies are comedy and horror movies. At every block there would be another movies theatre. Each theatre would be a different genre of movies. My house would have its own movie theatre. The more know things in my world would be sports and movie theatres. I would absolutely love my world.
